Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

How expensive was this? It's a driveshaft on a 2000 Honda Accord that I just replaced the clutch on. It seems like I didn't seat it deep enough? Anyone have any advice on what to do?

I would get a new axle because if that lock ring comes off in the transmission you will really be up shit creek.

Get the axle started in the transmission and in the knuckle. Grab the knuckle and use it as a slide hammer of sorts to knock the axle all the way in. When you do this the knuckle should be pivoting on whatever part is still connected (i.e. lower ball joint). You will probably need to use a fair amount of force and that is fine. You may need to swing the knuckle with one hand while holding the axle straight with the other.

Good luck!
